Official opening and switching on of the lights
The stalls in the Christmas town have been open since November 21st, but one highlight is still missing:
The ceremonial opening including the switching on of the lights on the world's largest Christmas tree.
The opening program will be streamed from a stage on Hansastraße (approximately at the height of the "Herrlicher" fashion store). There will also be several screens distributed throughout Hansaplatz where the action on stage can be followed.
The focus of the small stage program is on the showmen's children (14 children), who, as a climax after the mayor's "go", pass the light from the children's carousel to the tree and then finally illuminate it.
The framework will be formed by some interviews and an artistic act on stage, moderated
by Karin Niemeyer.
