Singing under the tree: A celebration of community and joy

This year, Hansastraße once again became a place of contemplation and community: During the traditional singing under the tree , numerous people gathered to sing Christmas carols together and enjoy the festive atmosphere of Dortmund, the city of Christmas. The singing under the tree has become a crowd-puller in recent years, with increasing numbers of people flocking to join in the singing.

Under the direction of KlangVokal Dortmund, familiar Christmas melodies filled the wintry air. Whether "O Tannenbaum," "Silent Night," or "Jingle Bells," the participants' voices blended into a harmonious choir. Accompanied by glowing sparklers, not only the children's eyes sparkled, but also the hearts of everyone present.

Thanks to the generous support of the visitors, numerous donations were collected for the Kinderlachen eV association , which will bring a smile to the faces of children in difficult life situations.

Singing under the tree is not only a musical event, but also a symbol of solidarity and togetherness—precisely what the Christmas season is all about. Singing under the tree has once again proven that Dortmund's Christmas City is a place where community, joy, and compassion are central.
