The world's largest Christmas tree, clearly visible from afar, marks the center of Hansaplatz. Around it, vendors and food stalls have set up shop, while to the south, on the steps, stand the Christmas village and the theater tent.

Old Market.png

The city's old main square is home to popular restaurants, which have created space in their center for snack bars, delicatessens and retail stalls.

The fairytale forest is located on Reinoldikirchplatz at the Reinoldikirche church; from there the path leads to the old market.

Via Brauhausstraße heading east you will reach Kleppingstraße, where the Christmas market runs from the sparkling alley of lights down to Willy-Brandt-Platz.

The route leads west along Kampstraße, past light sculptures, to Netanya Square with its 16-meter-high Christmas pyramid.

Leeds Square.png

Behind St. Reinold's Church, the large Ferris wheel dominates Leeds Square. The artisans' quarter is also located there, where, among other things, the Hohenstein Kasper puppet greets children in a historic house.

The route leads west along Kampstraße, past light sculptures, to Netanya Square with its 16-meter-high Christmas pyramid.

Petrikirchplatz.png

The Christmas market ends here near St. Peter's Church, with food and merchandise stalls on both sides of the church. Only here can you sample the special Christmas market beer from the Hövels brewery!

Katharinentor.png

Turning right off Kampstraße, you'll find Katharinenstraße with its illuminated Katharinentor gate. It welcomes visitors arriving from the main train station and beginning their journey through the Christmas city. No matter which route you choose – discover the diversity of the Christmas city!
