Giveaway Terms and Conditions

Legal Notice
The German version of these Terms and Conditions is legally binding. The English version is provided for information purposes only.

1. Organizer

The organizer of this giveaway is the Dortmunder Weihnachtsstadt.
This giveaway is not affiliated with Instagram and is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Instagram. The sole point of contact and responsible party is the organizer.

2. Participation Period

The giveaway starts on December 15, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. and ends on December 19, 2025 at 12:00 p.m.
Entries submitted outside this period will not be considered.

3. Eligibility to Participate

Participation is open to all natural persons aged 18 or over who are residents of Germany.
Participation takes place via Instagram in accordance with the conditions described in the giveaway post (e.g. liking, commenting, and, if applicable, following the account).

Each person may participate only once.
Automated entries, multiple entries, or participation via giveaway services are not permitted and will result in exclusion.

4. Prize

A total of 3 prizes will be raffled, each consisting of:

1× Christmas baubles (set of 4)

4× scarf

1× Dortmund Monopoly game

Cash payment, exchange, or transfer of the prize is excluded.
The prize must be collected by December 30, 2025 at the event office in the Dortmunder Weihnachtsstadt.

5. Winner Selection & Notification

The winners will be selected at random from all valid entries after the participation period has ended.

Notification will be sent via direct message (DM) on Instagram.
If a winner does not respond within 48 hours of notification, the organizer reserves the right to draw a new winner.

6. Exclusion from the Giveaway

The organizer reserves the right to exclude participants from the giveaway in the event of violations of these Terms and Conditions or attempts at manipulation.

7. Liability

The organizer shall not be liable for technical malfunctions, failures, or delays that may affect participation in the giveaway.

8. Data Protection

Personal data collected for participation in the giveaway (e.g. Instagram username, and in the event of winning, name and address) will be used exclusively for the purpose of conducting the giveaway.

After completion of the giveaway, the data will be deleted unless statutory retention obligations apply.
Further information on data protection can be found in the applicable data protection regulations of the organizer.

9. Early Termination

The organizer reserves the right to terminate or modify the giveaway at any time for important reasons, if this becomes necessary.

10. Legal Recourse

Legal recourse is excluded.
