Invitation to the laying of the foundation stone for Dortmund's Christmas City 2025

It will soon be that time again: Dortmund's Christmas city will gradually come to life on Hansaplatz. With every light that is installed, the anticipation grows – for a time full of encounters, warmth and shining moments.

As every year, a special event will be the laying of the foundation stone for the world's largest Christmas tree . Together, we would like to celebrate this symbolic start and thus usher in the Advent season.

at Hansaplatz in Dortmund.

We would like to toast the upcoming festivities with mulled wine and bratwurst. This year, the proceeds will go to the Kinderglück Foundation , which brings opportunities and joy to children and young people.

It is the familiar rituals, the community, and the small gestures that make this time so special.
